In 1967, at the age of seventeen, Allen Edwards was sitting in a rice paddy in Vietnam, his M-60 machine gun strapped on his shoulder, with the 3^rd Battalion 5^th Marine division known as Mike Company. Mr. Edwards did not know that the mud covering his boot tracks in the rice paddy field would help to mold him for his life’s journey, to be a beacon light to the men and women who served to protect “we the people” and the shores of the United States. We must never forget those who paid with their lives so that we can be FREE!

Allen Edwards returned from war with wounds of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). As a testament to his courage and fortitude he was awarded the following: Combat Action Ribbon, Navy Presidential Unit Citation, Navy Unit Commendation, Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation, Vietnam Civil Actions Unit Citation, and Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal.

His vision was to form a company that would be dedicated to memorialize our veterans. In 2004 his vision came to life when EBA Enterprises, Inc. was born under the umbrella of Public Law 108-183, the Veterans Benefits Act of 2003. Section 308 of this law permits contracting officers to restrict competition to small business concerns owned and controlled by service-disabled veterans (SDVOSB) and authorizes sole source awards to SDVOSBs under certain circumstances.
